Yes — AI headshots ($29–$39). No photoshoot required. They’re included with LinkedIn services or available standalone. See AI Headshots →
Can I use AI to write my résumé?+
Yes — AI is useful for brainstorming and drafting. But you should always human-edit for accuracy, voice, strategy, and ethics before submitting anything.
Try Arya Pro — AI Résumé GPT, then polish with a Career Lab if you want a professional finish.
Do ATS score tools actually matter?+
They can be a useful diagnostic for keyword gaps or formatting flags, but there is no universal ATS score that guarantees results. Prioritize clarity, relevance, and the actual language of the role.
For hands-on help, see Résumé Writing and Free Resources.
Do you guarantee a job or interviews?+
No job guarantees. We stand behind top-quality work and measurable improvements to clarity, positioning, and traction. Read verified reviews on the site, LinkedIn, and Yelp.
Refunds & terms?+
Please review the Terms of Service for refund details and scope.

How long should my résumé be?+
Most professionals land in the 1–2 page range. Early-career candidates should usually keep it to one page, while more experienced professionals often need two. What matters most is relevance: cut filler, lead with impact, and tailor to the role.
Need help? Explore our Résumé service or the Core package.
How far back should my work history go?+
A common guideline is 10–15 years of relevant experience, with the strongest focus on recent, measurable results. Older roles can be summarized briefly if they still support your positioning.

PDF or Word: which file type is best for online applications?+
Follow the employer’s instructions first. When nothing is specified, .docx is usually the safest choice for ATS parsing, although many systems also handle text-based PDFs well. Avoid scans or graphics-heavy layouts.
For ATS tips and checklists, see Free Resources.
What makes a résumé ATS-friendly?+
- Use standard headings, a simple layout, and readable fonts.
- Avoid text boxes, tables, graphics, and headers/footers that may interfere with parsing.
- Mirror important keywords from the job posting naturally in your summary and bullets.
Want a done-for-you option? Start with Résumé Writing or upgrade to Core.
Should I include a photo on my résumé?+
In the U.S., skip the headshot unless the employer explicitly asks for one. Use a polished photo on LinkedIn instead. If you need one, try our AI Headshots.
How do I write bullets that actually get read?+
Lead with action + impact, not job duties. For example: “Increased retention by 12% by redesigning onboarding” is much stronger than “Responsible for onboarding.”
Keep bullets tight, results-focused, and quantified whenever possible. Grab our free Word Bank & Tip Sheets.
Do I really need to tailor every résumé?+
Light tailoring is worth it. Keep a strong master résumé, then adjust the summary, top skills, and a few bullets to reflect each posting’s language and priorities.
If you want expert help, start here: Résumé service.
What’s the best way to apply: job boards or referrals?+
Do both. Apply online and pursue a warm path through networking, employee referrals, or direct outreach. Referrals often convert at a higher rate than cold applications alone.
Want a strategy? Book Job Search Coaching or a Career Lab.
Are cover letters still worth it?+
Yes — especially when you have a specific story to tell about why you’re a strong fit for that team or role. Keep it concise and avoid repeating your résumé word-for-word.
Need a starting point? Use our Cover Letter GPT, order a bespoke letter via the Pro package, or choose the à la carte Cover Letter option.
What should my LinkedIn headline do?+
Your headline should signal your target role + value using searchable keywords. Think: “Product Marketing | GTM & Positioning | Fintech” instead of a vague slogan.
Want a pro tune-up? See LinkedIn Optimization or Launch Pad for students and new grads.
Which LinkedIn sections boost recruiter search the most?+
The biggest sections are your Headline, About, Experience, and Skills. Keep your résumé and profile aligned so your keywords reinforce each other.
For step-by-step setup, start with LinkedIn Optimization and browse Free Resources.
How do I structure interview answers?+
Use the STAR method: Situation, Task, Action, Result. It helps you turn experiences into concise stories with outcomes instead of rambling descriptions.
Practice with Interview Coaching or a Career Lab.
What should I prepare the night before an interview?+
- 3–6 strong achievement stories tied to the job
- Smart questions about the team, roadmap, and success metrics
- Logistics: time zone, meeting link, contact info, résumé copy, and portfolio links
If you’d like a dry run, book Interview Coaching.
How does career coaching help beyond the résumé?+
Coaching helps with more than documents. It improves clarity around your targets, sharpens your strategy, and helps you turn effort into traction faster through better outreach, interview prep, and negotiation support.
