You Can’t Measure Everything—But You Can Frame Anything

Let’s be real—not everything comes with a neat little KPI.

Sometimes your biggest wins don’t show up in dashboards. There’s no spreadsheet that captures the moment a frustrated client became a brand evangelist—or the time your behind-the-scenes work saved a project from falling apart.

But that doesn’t mean those achievements don’t belong on your resume or in your career story.

If you can't measure it, frame it.

Think in terms of:

  • Influence“Guided a strategic shift in product positioning across two departments.”

  • Scale“Trained 40+ new hires in under 90 days with zero attrition.”

  • Momentum“Laid the groundwork for a regional expansion that launched six months later.”

Numbers are great. But if you don’t have them, frame what changed.

What was different because you were there?

What moved—even if it didn’t get fully to the finish line?

What did you build, influence, or unblock?

You can still lead with strength:

  • “Positioned the brand for acquisition by refining internal workflows and vendor relationships.”

  • “Drove alignment between sales and marketing, setting the stage for a 2024 revenue push.”

  • “Spearheaded internal documentation overhaul, improving clarity and reducing knowledge silos.”

The key? Tell the story of movement.
Show them what got better—even if it’s still in progress.

Because sometimes the most important work isn’t about what’s finished.
It’s about what you started.
